Crime Enforcement Task Force update |
||
|
Over the last 12 months, a team of Police officers made up of 1 sergeant and 9 constables who are funded by the Local Authority in Barking & Dagenham has delivered strong results in helping to keep our communities safe.
Through proactive policing and strong partnership work with the Local Authority, the team has made 245 arrests across the borough. These include: • 27 arrests for robbery • 5 arrests for burglary • 13 arrests for offensive weapons • 13 arrests for sexual offences
The team works very closely with our partners to tackle local issues affecting residents. Weekly joint patrols are carried out with the Local Authority Enforcement Team, focusing on tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB), addressing community concerns, and supporting a range of planned operations across the borough.
Inspector Handley said: "Our officers work tirelessly every day to identify offenders, disrupt criminal activity and protect the public. These arrests demonstrate the team’s commitment to making Barking & Dagenham a safer place for everyone who lives, works and visits here." | ||
